Cooking With A Cooler Kitchen During Summer

I have a 6.5-quart crockpot that I use many days out of the week in the summertime. The main reason is so I don't have to use my oven.

I definitely have my crock pot out on the counter every day now too!! I like to use the grill outside also as much as possible.

I'm a big fan of my toaster oven!!! It cooks in half the time and doesn't heat up the kitchen.

I love the toaster oven too. When my dh and I were first married we didn't have a toaster, but we had a toaster oven, and since it was just the two of us, I used it to cook everything. It is also a good way to keep your electric bill down.

Oh that reminds me -- we did the same thing LOL. When we moved from Indiana to New York we ended up leaving our stove to the new owners of our Indiana home -- and when we moved into our home in NY our stove was on back order. We used the toaster oven every single day!!! You are so right ... it saves money -- that's always a blessing!!!
