Cheery Chocaroon Bars
All the magic of a `magic bar'... but with extra creamy goodness on
the top !
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 24 bars
1/2 cup (125 mL) butter, melted
2 cups (500 mL) chocolate wafers, finely crushed
1 cup (250 mL) chopped nuts
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) shredded coconut
1 cup (250 mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand®
1 ( ) egg, beaten
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
Combine melted butter and wafer crumbs; press evenly onto bottom of a
13" x 9" (3 L) pan.
Layer with chopped nuts, coconut and chocolate chips.
Whisk together Eagle Brand, egg and vanilla until blended. Pour
mixture evenly over base in pan; spread to cover.
Bake at 350ºF (180º C) for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool
thoroughly before cutting.
