How did everyone do? I am amazed to say we survived. No one killed each other!! LOL.
We had turkey day at my sister-in-law's house. She did 98% of the cooking. It was a nice switch for me.
Then on Friday I made turkey dinner for my kids and I. They wanted some of the traditional stuff we usually make that my sister in law doesnt. They wanted the usual greenbean casserole and the famous Gillespie stuffing (okay, it is NOT famous anywhere except in our family).
Overall it was nice. And I actually have four days in a row off from work. WOW...dont know what to do with myself....except I did go on a date last night....but those details are for a different time!!

wooo hooo you went on a date. Good for you. Now we want details. Oh yes and lots of them.
Our Thanksgiving was in October, we are always ahead of you guys. We survived it. Your turkey dinner sounds good. I could go for some turkey about now. So are you going to clue us in on the stuffing? How is it made?
Inquiring minds want to know. Or mabye its NEED to know. Unless its a secret. Don't tell us then.
Let's see...........details on the date......didn't I tell you Hugh Jackman was in town that day???
LOL LOL LOL Just kidding!
We simply went for at the local IHOP. I could not be out long as my son was having a melt-down that day and I had to wait until he went to !!! (My oldest daughter stayed home with him).
He was sweet, had beautiful blue eyes (I am a sucker for blue eyes) and was quite the gentleman. He even called me shortly after we parted to make sure I made it home okay. <sigh> I hope he calls me again but I am nervous. He was really, really . And I sound like a silly school girl. Geez!

Ohhhh sounds like it was a nice evening lulu. I am sure he will call you again. Just sit tight and it will happen.
Blue eyes huh??? No you don't sound like a silly school girl. You sound like a girl who went on a date after a very long time and enjoyed herself.
Don't worry, the next date won't be so bad, its the first one that is usually the worst. You will be more relaxed for the next one. Wait and see.
Oh yes, remember to tell us when it happens again.
Yahoooooo he called. I knew he would. He just didn't want to sound too anxious by calling right away. He wanted to let you steam a little first.
I am glad he called and have fun at your lunch with him on Thursday. Oh lunch, then dinner, candelight, dancing, oh just wait and see. It will all happen.
lulu your going on dates...... I am glad things went well and that he is nice. Hope your lunch date goes great.
I didn't have to cook or wash this year woo hoo we went to DH grandma's for dinner. All of DH cousins and uncle and aunt were here from Mich. It was a nice dinner and we had lots of good food.
Our Thanksgiving was nice and relaxed. Everyone went to my brothers house. He smoked a turkey. It tasted like ham, well the tiny bit I had of it anyway. I cooked two roasts and potatoes. No meat left but lot's of potatoes. I did cook 10lbs of 'em. We had a pumpkin pie, stuffing, and gravy. Oh yeah, I made beef gravy too. Some kind of veggie and olives. Mostly traditional stuff. I don't know if we've made that green bean casserole. I've had it before, and well, it's ok. It just looks gross to me.
At my church the pastors wife made this sweet potatoe casserole. It had this pecan stuff on top. It tasted similar to a pecan pie without the crust. <- That's me ing the stuff up. This one guy at the church deep fried the turkey. It was real juicy and yummy.
