Today was a wonderful day spent with my kids. My oldest daughter is spreading cake batter in a cake pan. She looks so serious while working on it.
I took my mom to the grocery store today (she has alzheimers). My middle child went with me. She was so patient and kind with my mom. It was sweet.

And then something happened at dinner that almost changed our lives forever. My son got choked on a tortilla chip. I was across the table and unable to reach him as quick but my oldest daughter
ed up and grabbed her brother and performed the Hiemlich manuever and saved his life. It was quite scary. She actually had to do it twice. He is quite bigger than she is, but she actually lifted him off the ground. She is usually kind of
and flighty but when she saw her brother's life in danger, BAM! She acted quickly and acurately and saved him. It was amazing. She is really growing up. I am very proud of her.
s for a walk. We almost always end up on the shore. There is just nothing like the sound and smell of the ocean.
