Camp!

Camp starts tomorrow for the next three weeks for my oldest daughter. She will be learning to do the flag for color guard plus the rifle. UGH...this has been a challenge! I have been running around trying to find all the right stuff for her for the next three weeks. I had to buy FIVE sports bras (and they are not allowed to wear white ones in case it rains so they won't be see-through), FIVE pair of black shorts (yeah, right, at the END of the season, finding five pair in her size?), a new pair of tennis shoes (and I was informed tonight that I bought the WRONG type), black gloves (where do you find those in the dead of summer?) and a whole bunch of other stuff. AND....just when I thought I had her transportation all figured out, it fell through at the last minute. So tonight I was running down the street to a neighbor's house with $20 bucks in my hand begging for them to her to camp all week this week. She has to be there at 9:00 but I will be at work already as I am there at 8:00.

I am ! I guess I should have provided cheese to go with all of this whine! It has been a LONG time since I have been a single parent. I forgot how challenging it is! Thanks to God that I am not a crumbly type of fruitcake.

I hope everyone is doing well. I will keep my fingers crossed I keep picking up this wireless reception. Love you all!!

Oh lulu, when it rains it pours now doesn't it? Sorry you had to go through all of that. I do not know what these teachers expect of us parents. When Summer did the play at the end of the school year into the first part of summer, we went through the same thing. She had to have 4 different outfits and one of them was a prom gown!! and at the consignment shop they were 40-50 dollars, thankfully someone had one she could borrow but still had to find all the other stuff and I too had the transportation problem even though I'm not a single mom but since Randy has to be at work at 6 and doesn't get home until 5:30 it wasn't any better. But sure am glad to see you and that you are getting wireless service, woohoo!!

I am very tired this a.m. so if I'm not making any sense I'm , . I went to bed a little after 11, had trouble going to , finally did and then woke up at 1, coughing and WIDE awake, could not for anything! finally fell back to about 6 and woke up a little before 7 because my eyes were burning real bad, and I have to do route check today, lots of driving! Oh joy!Oh well, thems the breaks, huh?

Hugs!!

Lulu you are in my ers. I know its been a rough go and sounds like it still is but it is going to get better.
Black gloves in summer? How about a thrift store or something like that? You never know.
Why five of everything? One for each day? Sheesh do they think parents are made of money or what?

Hope you get a ride for her all week too. I know its going to work out in your favor. Hang in there and its great to see you again.
