Hi Polly
Well my aunt went home today. We really had a great time while she was here. I was so happy to see her. She teared up when she left, said she wished she could stay longer. Hopefully it won't be so long before she comes back again. We surprised an uncle and aunt of mine last night when we went to visit. I phoned them and told them no peeking when we went in the yard and guess what?? The two of them were sitting on the step waiting to see who I was bringing over. They sure were surprised.
Anyhow, hope you have heard from Lulu She said she was going to call you but I know its been hectic at her house so it might take a while for her to get around to it. Hopefully you hear from her soon. Tell her we all miss her here and hope she is back soon.

Hi DeeDee, Glad to see you back but even happier that you had such a good visit with your Aunt. That is really amazing that it has been so long and you got to visit. I hope it won't be so long before she gets to visit again. That is so great that you got to surprise your other relatives as well. Sounds like a very successful visit.
No, I haven't heard from lulu yet but I know she is always busy so hopefully we will connect soon. I will definitely pass on the message when I talk to her. She is an amazing lady.
Thanks again and hopefully once you get rested we can continue to catch up, . Hugs, Polly

Hi Polly
Thanks for the new email today. Don't forget to pass it on to the secret sisters too.
Yes it was a great visit. My aunt was here for her 50 year Nurse's reunion. She said everyone showed up but two who are deceased. They have the reunions every 5 years. Hopefully she can make it at that time again.
Hope you hear from lulu soon. I know she isn't online much these days. I am sure once she can find the time, she will be back. Yes she is a great lady.

Wow, DeeDee a 50 year reunion ,that is amazing! I hope she can come back again too. I know you enjoyed her visit.
Thanks for the reminder of sending my new email addy to the secret sisters. I will have to get that done. Not sure when exactly since the next few days are going to be very buxy so ladies if you read this, don't give up on me, I will send it out asap. I'm glad you got my notification about the new email. I used trueswitch and since this is all new to me I wasn't sure if it worked although it did pull all of my email from my old account. Skye had to me set up instant messanger. I am using the AOL IM service since it is better.
I am sitting here watching out for my baby bunnie. (we have several this year that are like pets in our yard). I looked out a while ago and 2 crows were getting very close to my bunny. I went out and chased them off and then a couple of minutes later the baby was back out there and so was a crow. The bunnies don't seem afraid so I'm not sure if they will hurt them or not but they acted awfully interested so I am trying to for them. I'm also watching one of my red-headed woodpeckers at my bird feeder, they are so funny to watch at a bird feeder. they just hang from it and bob their heads up and down to eat. I have found that almost all birds like sunflower seeds. Now there is a bluejay right next to the woodpecker. My feeders were empty for a couple of days so now my birds are happy agian.
I know Lulu is very busy and I knew a while back she wasn't getting online much. I can't wait to hear from her. I wish I could find her new number so I could call her. I finally have free long distance and can call her. Not that I get on the phone alot but it's nice to be able to keep in touch with everyone.
Well, I am going to check out a couple of more posts then go get ready for work. Tonight is Summers opening night of her play so I probably won't be in. Will try to pop in in the though. The play doesn't start until 8 tonight and tomorrow night and then at 2 on sat. That means some late nights and early s, UGH!!
Talk to you soon, Have A Good Day!

Hi Polly
Talking about lulu, can you not find the phone number through information if you have her address maybe? Just a thought until you hear from her.
You are for the reminder for the secret sisters.
Watching the baby bunny must be so cute. We have some at the cottage but we haven't been there enough this year yet to see them. I hope the crows aren't trying to get at the bunny.
I used to love sitting and watching all the birds in our tree at our first house. The tree was right in front of the window and we had so many different birds come around. I miss that.
Hope you and Summer enjoyed opening night for the play. Be sure to let us know how it went.
Talk to you later

I actually lost her new address too. I had them both written down on a seperate piece of paper and lost it but you have given me a good . I may be able to use the white pages web site to find it. I will give it a try. I don't know if I have to have the exact city or if just the state will work but I will give it a try.
As for the bunny, I think it was 2 young crows and hopefully they will not hurt my bunnies. When I came home yesterday there were 3 crows out in the yard and they were quite noisy to be honest and I looked out and actually saw one put a sunflower seed in the mouth of the other. I continued to watch their behavior and the only thing Randy and I could figure out is that there were 2 young ones even though they looked to be the same size and the third one must have been the mother teaching them to eat. It was actually quite facinating and funny to watch. If the momma bird picked up something, one of the 'babies' would run over to her with their mouth wide open, screeching for all they were worth. Sometimes they would even peck at her mouth trying to get the seed. Crows do not normally get this familiar with people but they have adopted our yard for some reason. We will even have squirrels and crows out there eating at the same time so hopefully they will leave my bunnies alone too. It is alot of fun to watch all of the birds. We have 5 bird feeders up and we try to keep them filled. We use only black sunflower seeds. all of the different kinds of birds like them and we buy 50 pound bags. It is actually cheaper than other kinds of bird seed. The only birds I haven't seen eathing them are robins. they always get the worms.
Well, Summer's play went great. It was VERY funny! Thankfully Summer doesn't have any speaking lines other than in groups. Her voice is still pretty much gone and she is still having alot of throat pain. Maybe when this is done she will be able to heal better. She is feeling alot better in other ways. Anyway, back to the play, it really was very good and funny, but also very long. Didn't get out until 11:00pm. Of course they did pictures afterwards too. They always have a picture night where after the play the teacher poses the cast in different poses and parents can take pictures. This is so peopel won't take them during the performance. Personally I think this kind of defeats the whole purpose of taking pictures of your kids but.........whatever. I made the mistake of taking pictures during the first play Summer did. Oh well, they can't stop me,. Well, I am going to go check out a couple of more posts before it's time to get ready for work. I would rather climb back into bed, . Talk to you soon!!

Polly, I hope you find her new address. I am not sure if I have it or not but I will check my books and see. I just might have the phone number too but I don't think so.
Another thing to try is look in the member section. You can always pm her and see if she answers.
It is fun to watch the birds. We had baby robins one time and it was so cute to watch the mother teach them how to fly. They sure learn quick. I was just saying the other day to my dil, I wonder when a bird is grown, if they ever see their parents again and if they know them. It makes you wonder.
Glad to hear the play went well. I hope Summer's throat heals soon. That is painful. Glad she is feeling better other ways though.
Good for you getting some pictures on your own. I think I would have done the same thing.

Hi DeeDee, I actually found what I think maybe lulu's new address. I was going through my old files on my compuserve account and found an email that I had saved from her with an address in it so I am thinking it must be her new one. I will give it a shot. Thank you for your , I really appreciate it.
Wow that must have been fun to watch the momma bird teach the babies to fly. I had some baby birds on my porch this year and thought I would get to watch the same thing but she must have done it while I was at work or something because one evening I came home and I always checked the porch below the nest because the babies were so big I was afraid they would fall out of the nest, anyway I went over to check and they all took off flying over my head,. Boy was I surprised!! I was really worried that they weren't ready but they flew pretty good. Then it rained that night. I was worried about them but Randy told me they must have been ready to go or they wouldnt' have since I had been going over and talking to them and checking on them for weeks and they never got spooked, just kept looking at me.
I didn't take any pictures this time. I behaved myself and after the play I had my nephews girlfriend go up and take pictures with all the ohter parents and of course the batteries went dead in my camera but I am going to get copies from my boss. He was there taking pictures of his dd so he's going to get me copies. I'm very fortunate that I have such good bosses (husband/wife team) that are also my . But they would honestly do this for anyone. They are really nice people. Very fair in their treatment of they're employees.
My oldest dd and her friend went to the play last night so I could stay home and rest. I told Summer I would come if she wanted me to but she said it was fine. Today is the last show so I will be there, although Summer told me not to worry about it. She really is a good hearted kid. Hope she stays that way, although I have to tell you this story, there is a girl who is quite obnoxious in the play who decided to focus her annoying behavior on Summer friday night. Well, Summer has a short fuse with her temper when she is so she gets annoyed very easily and this girl kept grabbing summer's headband (it's elastic and it was around her neck until she needed it) and kept pulling it back and letting it snap against summers neck. Summer asked her to stop , then told her to stop and then she said "I would just like to punch you in the face right now!!" I know I shouldn't find this funny but I do, I guess because Summer didn't hit the girl and she probably deserved it at this point but I just find it funny that she would actually say that to someone. Normally she would think it but not say it. I did tell her that she is touchy because she isn't feeling well and she needed to calm down and not be so touchy. We don't need the girls ing in the middle of the paly!! Another girl was joining in on this then had the nerve to ask to borrow the headband later in the play, . And the one who started it all kept wanting to trade gowns with Summer!! OH girls, aren't they fun!! Anyway, I know this is long but I had to share this story with you.
I will go for now and save some more for the next chapter, .

I haven't had time to look through my books yet for that address. I will get to it though. I have books going here for everything and one day I want to take the time to put things in order. Right now I know where a lot of things are but if I change it around and put them in order, I will most likely be lost again.
It was fun to watch the babies learn to fly and the nice thing was my boys were young and they thought it was fascinating too. I miss not having anywhere here for the birds. We were talking about getting a bird or feeder for the front yard. We live on a busy street and it could disappear but I am willing to take that chance.
Good for Summer holding her temper the way she did. I think if it were me, or not I would have let her have it. I don't let anyone get to me at least I don't now. At one time I did. I owe my change to my brother in law and mother in law. They both speak their mind and I have learned now to do the same thing. You have to, to keep up with them.
Well better go and get some things done. There are a lot of posts and I haven't noticed what they all are yet so talk to you later.

I know what you mean about being organized so to speak, I am the same way. And there are sooo many projects I want to get started on but probably never will,.
That is really exciting when you have children to share nature with. Our whole family has had fun watching our birds. If you get a bird feeder or , get a cheap one so if it does go missing it won't be as frustrating.
I think Summer does ok about speaking her mind, a little too ok sometimes, . But thankfully she is now done with the play and has all summer to get over her anger with this girl. I think it will take that long, .

Well I sure don't plan on spending a huge amount for a feeder or that is for sure. Our street is pretty busy but well lit up so we don't worry too much but that is just the time it would disappear if I did buy an expensive one.
Hope Summer enjoys her summer. I am sure she will get over this.

Thank you DeeDee, I am sure Summer will get over it and enjoy her summer. It feels like it is going by fast already. We have been making plans for the 4th of July week. Randy and I get the 4th(weds.) off and we are both taking that thurs. and fri. off as well and going camping. I will miss the pay but decided that we need some down time to relax. We will take our vacation in August. At least I get paid for that one, !
Summer still has a sore throat and cough and now her ear is really bothering her. I may have to have my mom take her back to the dr. She also decided to share some of her illness with me. I have the sore throat and cough so I was pretty lazy today. Other than putting some away and going to the grocery store, I didn't do much at all. But hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and not have to miss any work this week.
Well, I hope you get your bird feeder and can enjoy your birds again soon.
Talk to you soon, Hugs.
