Grrr Saturday night Nicole (14 1/2) was talking on the phone about 9.30pm with her best friend Christopher 13(I allowed her to talk that late as his mother and step dad had yet again left him home alone at night and he sometimes gets .) another friend, Mark, called and told him to call Nikkis Voicemail to see what it said. Someone had changed her voicemail message to say that it was her and she was of having sexual relations with our neighbor another boy that Nicole is with. Turns out is was Christophers girlfriend who did this and then left a nasty voicemail to her that she didnt change it but knew who did but wouldnt tell her who. and that she need to stop ing and talking to chris because she would never have him. there were several other back and forths but thats the gist of whats going on I want to go wring the girls neck.
Now what gets me is that this girl is new to the school this year but has been with the group since about christmas. She knew that Nikki and Chris were best before she started liking him and had no problem with nikki before they started going out. What changed so much that she now has to be so hateful.
Any what I can do about her changing the voicemail. it has been changed so it no longer says that now

Wow, some kids are hard to figure out today. How did she get hold of the cell phone to change the message? I didn't think they could do it without having the phone, am I right?
What a nasty thing to do to her friend. She will be making a lot of enemies at the school if she keeps doing things like this.

Veronica did not have the cell phone. With the service Nicole is using right now you call a 877 number and use a code. We will be switching from Virgin Mobile as soon as the phone Nicole wants becomes available though Tracfone. Theonly reason she has this phone is because Chris's grandmother bought him and Nicole the same phone for Easter.

You know that some parents encourage their kids behavior and do not attack me. I will explain why I say this. Most parents are hell bent on revenge and act maliciously in front of their children and some are the type that say oh my kid does not take any stuff from anyone. I understand defending yourself against someone but, being malicious just because, is horribel.

You are so right Luz. From what I hear (and I have no way of knowing if this is truth or not) the girl runs all over town, sneeks out at night cuts school to go to the mall and she never gets in trouble. I think she needs some supervision cause it sure seems to me that she isnt getting enough.

On most cell phones if not all, there is a key guard on the phone and in order to do anything with the phone, a person has to enter a password. That may be something to consider doing if for some reason the cell is misplaced or lost or in this case a revengeful teen making trouble.
Yes the phone has a key guard. The phone was in my daughters possesion when the other girl did this. This is why we are switching her from Virgin Mobile as soon as we can. That service allows you to change the voice mail from ANY phone not just the cell phone.

Wow that is scarey that someone else can get access to your phone and do something like that. I think that phone company needs to change it's policies.
Sorry you and your dd have to go through this. It sounds like this girl is going to be nothing but trouble for everyone. It's such a shame that some kids are like that. And it is true that some parents encourage that kind of behavior and think it's funny. That makes the situation even harder to deal with because you know you can't go to the parent and try to work things out. I hope things get better, if not, we'll send in the lulu team, .
