Ladies this is my place to vent and I am feeling. Well today I feel awful, our van was totalled by a drunk r at 5 am today. My husband had left it, in front of the mechanic it was park at the corner of the street. Another van came by speeding and hit it from behind so hard it totalled it. This man was so drunk, he even took out an ice freezer that was in the sidewalk. When the police came, he was swearing at them and they found a whiskey bottle. My husband was so sad because, we got the van when Tiffany was born. That van had taken us to Mexico and back twice and we were going to do it again this summer. He took pictures for the insurance company but, he was so devastated he was so sad. I still can't believe it. Once, I get the pivutre I will post them. I don't but, I was so used to my van. We have another car but, is not the same.

you are so right Angela, if it had been around 9 it would have been awful. There is St.Paul's church and people would have been going to mass. Thank God no one was hurt. It was so funny I went to get the police report and the Cardinal was giving a mass there and I went I was so depressed and it I felt great afterwards.
I already put in the claim on the insurance.now we just wait. We also found out that, he had borrowed the car to go partying.

Oh Luz, so about your van but so thankful that noone was hurt. There is a reason for everything and by the sound of it, this guy is in a lot of trouble. He totalled your van, along with a borrowed car he used to go partying. Boy then the drunk driving charges etc. on top of that, glad I am not in his boots. But its an awakening call for him too.
Yes the van can be replaced but people can't. So glad everyone is safe.

Wow that is awful but luckily no one was hurt. We were just reading about this in one of my classes. I had to do a report and 3 summaries about drunk driving. Its awful because so many that get ticketed for it just go right back out and do it again. They just don't learn a thing.

Well the van was a 1990 model so they counted it as totalled. All they want to give us is $812 for it and they are still getting the deductable even thou our car was not moving and no one was in it. My husband is furious, he says he wasn't driving the car and he wants his deductible, he says that they have to sue the other r to get the $500 not from him. He did not cause the accident.
