Well now you have me thinking. I will have to check some of my cook books to see if there are any recipes in there. If I find any lulu, I will post them for you in the recipe section.

Gosh I could never eat a snail, oyster, shrimp or anything like that. Caviar is out for sure.

Sorry about grossing you out, we just started a conversation and didn't mean to any tummies out there.

Ok this is all too funny. I have to tell you what I ate. It was not cow toungue but it was..........now this may gross some of ya out so you may want to turn your heads now...................ok, last warning.....................I ate cow BRAINS!! My Aunt and Uncle had both, tongue and brains and my sister and I were over and they wanted us to try it. well, I never could turn down a dare from my sister so I ate the brain and she had the tongue, I just couldn't try the tongue. Anyway it was probably good but I kept gagging at the thought of what I was eating. The thought still makes me so no I do not eat it anymore.

Smile Hello...

Polly that was a pretty gross dare. I love that you did it... I'm like that with my brother too. I highly doubt that I'll ever become big girl, I love being a Toys R Us kid... I've always hoped that the Fear Factor people would show up with something to eat, cuz I'd eat anything for all the money! LOL.....

Hi I see how gross some people can get. Yes the cow tongue looks like tongue a very large one. It has to be cut, boiled and peeled. Then is diced and cooked in a little oil. You add it to tortillas, with onions and cilantro. Make some salsa and enjoy.
Barbacoa is normally goat meat.
Now I got one for you guys this is a true story, my moms aunt was very old, she was about 103 when I was about 9. We had a family gathering and my uncle roasted a side of beef. We were all eating and she asked what was the meat we were eating, my cousin the one that came from Puerto Rico was a clown and told her it was camel. Without missing a beat she said she forgot her teeth and the piece of meat was tough so she said why did they give me the camel's (vagina) I am trying to be civilized. We all turned around and my mom was ing so hard she fell of her chair after that no one could eat at all.

Polly, ewwww, I will take a dare usually but that one is one I would have to pass on. I could never eat that.

Luz, that was so funny. I bet your grandmother was totally serious when she said that too. I love these older people, they always say exactly what is on their minds. Love it.

ok ladies, I must clarify something here, I was about 10 when I did that, I don't think I would do it now but not too sure because sometimes I cannot resist a dare but my stomache is alot weaker now, . So Mickie don't be too impressed with me.

Oh Luz, that is hilarious. I too love older people, they come out with some great stuff and they can get away with it. I can't wait til I can do that too, .

I must say that all this talk about the tongue is making me SURE that I do not want to eat that.

Polly, that is right. You don't know where it was last.

Even at 10 I am not so sure I could take that dare. I know for sure I couldn't now.

ummm, depends on what they wanted me to eat, although I have to admit that is a dare i would have a hard time resisting that dare.

As Polly said, it all depends on what we would have to eat but still it would take me a while to decide if I wanted the money bad enough I guess.
Go for it Polly. I dare you.
