I went to work for four hours (I typically NEVER work on the weekends) and took my youngest two with me. THEN....big ole' goofball me decided to go for a bicycle ride..... I have not riden a bike since I was a young'un. I went with my kids and the whole time we were riding, the kids kept asking, "Are you alright, mom?" LOL...it was too funny.
AND then.....we went to the garden center and bought some beautiful pansys and some plant called a Spike. We got some dirt and a spade and had fun. I weeded my rose garden (the big one). I "created" a flower bed in the front yard. NOW....understand one thing....I am a MAJOR amatuer gardner who has an extraordinary BLACK thumb. SO....the garden looks like a four year old did it and IF it lives longer than three days, it will be a miracle!
BUT I got my hands and knees good and dirty, got pricked by about four thorns from the rose bushes and overall feel wonderful about what I did today. Of course, my house needs cleaning, but I will get to that. I hope everyone else had a good day!!

Awww Lulu I r little flower garden. It looks really pretty. You did a fine job with it.
How do you feel now after your bike ride? My gosh its been years since I was on a bike and it would be some funny I think to see me riding one now. I do have one in the shed but have never taken it out. Maybe I will try that at the cottage where nobody can see me for my first few tries after all these years.
Today, instead of riding bikes, we flew a kite! I forgot just how much running you have to do to fly one. I loved watching my daughter, she was so proud of herself. I loved the wind. It felt like a hug from God. The wind is all around you, you cant see it, but you know its there.

Sure wish it was warm enough here to go and fly a kite. We are having a very night of it here. As they say, March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb. I cant' wait for spring.
That is so awesome Lulu! I don't ride my bike very much either and my kids don't think I can even ride!
It sounds like you had a great day and were surrounded by Godly things! Thanks for sharing! It's good to know that people still take pleasure in the simple things of life and jsut how good they make you feel.

Wow! You've had two very wonderful days! But oh my, me on a bike? I did that back about 10 years ago for the first time since I was young and it was awful! My kids just ed at me.
All I've been doing is studying, even the house is being neglected. So I envy you your awesome days. They truelly were gifts from God!

My husband cracked up over my garden. He asked me if I was nuts?!! It was starting to croak so he went and got some more potting soil and redid the whole thing. He takes such good care of me! And he hates it when I inflict my "black" thumb on an innocent plant!
We went to church this and this evening. It was good. We started a new bible study on Spiritual Warfare. It is really good.

Anyway! After a long day at work today, we went to Wednesday night church. It was awesome. Then we came home and had our little pancake feast. Now I am making Swedish Tea Cakes to take to work with me tomorrow.
