Well, for the next several weeks while we deal with paperwork and packing (and then unpacking) my family will be doing a lot of fending for themselves for dinner. We had a contract accepted on a house here in Waynesboro this past Tuesday night, so we hope to be moving (and getting settled) from August 14th through September 5th. All of this while we both continue to work. The DH has taken a few days off to out with the actual moving of the big stuff and to make sure that all of the necessary connections are made for my office to continue to run efficiently, but with all of the stuff that we need to move, it will take every bit of the next 2 1/2 months to move and clean this place where we have rented for the past 5 years. It will be so good to be home owners again - and to have pets, too.

I will try to check in every so often as I try to use up some of the food in the freezer and pantry just to keep from having to move it all. But, with working and moving I don't imagine that I will have a lot of time left for cooking.

The new house has all new kitchen appliances - including a gas stove Yippee!! I have missed being able to cook with gas while we have been in this house. I am so looking forward to moving and having a new kitchen and a new house that will be ours and not the landlord's.

Moving is sure a chore. Good luck with the move.. Hope to see you drop in once in a while.. Hope you get some of that food out of the freezer ad fridge..

Pizza. Yummy. I especially like it if it came from the pizza place.. My one brother makes an awesome pizza. He makes one the size of a frying pan, He puts what ever we like on it.. Which is just about everything.. then he bakes, it.. This is his indivual size.. I can barely eat it all . sometimes I can't.. He lives about 80 miles away. I need to have him come make one..

Thanks for all of the good wishes!

Tonight the DD and I walked up to BK w/ her for dinner while the DH made himself something - probably fried egg sandwiches.

Tomorrow will be another busy day here - have all of the regular things to do and now get to add more packing to my schedule. Yippee! I keep reminding myself that a house is why I have been saving all this money instead of spending it over the last 5 years, but somehow I forgot about all of the things that need to be packed again in order to move.

21 times in 2 years!!! Wow!! That is a lot of moving.
The last time we moved - 5 years ago - it took me about 6 months to pack us out completely, but I was the only one packing and I worked fulltime plus overtime most weeks. (We had over 3000 books among other things to pack.) This time, I have a teen aged DD and a DH here to , along with my DD's teen on hand to us move the heavy stuff. We also have 2 really good with trucks coming up to us for the move of the major items the weekend after we close on the new house. With this move being 3 miles and not 200 like the last one will make it easier to do over several days, too.

At one point I was a professional freelance packer for moving companies, so I know what a job it can be if you are doing it right. It is part of the reason that some of the things that we moved were never unpacked - no room here, but when we did need them, we were able to find them, use them, and re-pack them. It will be a joy to finally have space for all of our stuff again. This new house is huge - at least until we put all of our stuff in it.

Well My ex has moved even more in the past 30 years.. He has movied about 11 or 12 times in the last 3 or 4 years. 2 or 3 times back into the same house.I am glad it is not me.. He just was nver satisfied anywhere.. This place would be better. It never seemed to be better. Well if you were a professional mover, you know what it is like.. It seems every year you accumulate more.. Good you will have space to put thing now.. That is great.. I know you will enjoy the new place.. Beings it is huge, that will be so nice..

Wow...all that moving makes my head want to spin...of course, it could also be what I had for dinner.

Ladies...I think I have sunk to a new low. I had a hard boiled egg and a glass of chocolate soy milk. I must be pyschotic. It must be all that pizza lately has corrupted my brain.
