Paying all them taxes at once sure is a killer. I would hate doing that too. Well hopefully you will get ahead of the game soon.
tonight Amy was gone her and Brittany went to her boy for the last 3 nights. We have a bat in the house. It does not come out in light. so I leave a light on. I have not seen it. It was up stairs and then came down stairs. When we turned on the lights it fled. tony is coming over tomorrow to spend the night and see if it comes out in the night. It may have left the same way it come in.
Any way I have some pancakes, and sugar free Raspberry jelly, and a couple of sausage links.. then later I had some pop corn.
Oh Nancy, I hope that Tony can find not only the bat, but how it got into the house. There is rarely just one (I hope that you only have one and not a whole group in your attic), and once you get rid of it, you will need to plug up the hole it used to get in so it doesn't come back. The problem is the hole they use doesn't have to be large and is sometimes very difficult to find. If you haven't heard anything in your attic around dusk (when they usually leave) you probably have just the one - and then, it is probably just lost. Bats can be very scary, especially in your house where they are unexpected. But, bats are also very beneficial as they keep the aggravating bug (gnats, mosquitos, etc) down so humans are not eaten alive everytime we step outside. Let us know how things go with getting rid of it. If you find evidence of a group having taken up residence in your attic, you will probably need an exterminator to deal with the problem and find their entry point so it can be closed.
I am not sure what we are having for dinner tonight, I would like to cook something, but I need to my DH pack stuff for a demo that our medieval group is doing on Saturday - The Lexington (VA) Celtic Festival. The DD and I won't be there as we are going to NC to have lunch with my DB for his 64th B-day.
tonight we are going to McDonalds, I have to do a secret shop.
I do it once in awhile. I have to order a big and tsty meal for me, and a Chicken sandwhich meal for Amy. They tell what you need to order. Well it can be a en sandwhic meal, or some type of burger meal.
No news on the bat. I have not heard anything.
Kept the lights on at night every night so far, Amy and Brittany have been spending the night at her boy Tonys. they are suppose to be here tonight. Tony is going to see if it comes out In the dark. when someone is up there.. It may be gone.. I hope so. Yes we have to find out where it came in.. I do not think there are a whole bunch. Tony went inside the attic, and roof, He took a flash light, He did not see anything..
Glad to hear that the bat was probably alone and therefore probably lost somehow and only using your home very temporarily. Let us all hope that that is indeed the case. I'm sure that leaving the lights on ed to dissuade the bat from any of taking up residence in your house and convinced him or her to move on quickly. That was an excellent !!
I had planned to make pasta with italian sausage, but had to attend a meeting this afternoon and got back too late to make dinner. Instead my DH made up a batch of his delicious tuna/egg salad and we had that as sandwiches for dinner.
I will be trying to make the pasta dish tomorrow night as I have already defrosted my sauce and the sausage - both of which are now in my fridge.
The tuna sandwhiches sound pretty good.
Amy made some Ziti.. it was pretty good. We had garlic bread too.
Well about the bat. Brittany had went skating tongiht and amy was at my nieces.
they came back home and had to take Brittanys friend home. While they were gone, I was watching tv. I saw something at the top of the curtain, that was black and did not look familar. I thought. what is that. The more I looked at it the more I decided it was the bat.. All of a sudden it starting flying.. Oh my gosh. I covered my head with my blanket. It flew around for a bit and landed back on the back of the curtain. out of site. I went and got a broom, I was going to try to see where it was. I pulled the curtain back a little with the broom and saw it was hanging on the back of the curtain.
I called Amys boyfriend Tony. I said I found the bat.Could you come over. He said yea.. So Brittany and Amy got home in the meantime. Amy and Brit saw the broom by the door. They said Why is that broom in the living room. i said uhh. They both ran out the door, knowing the bat was in here. Amy called me on the phone from outside. I told her tony was coming. So She said I am going next door to Grandmas.
tony had a net and got it in the net. but the holes were too big. so I got him a towel. Tony said this bat is pissed cause I got him he is showing his teeth. I said you may have to kill it. He said I think so.. So he put the towel all around it on the tv and slammed his fist on it. He did that about 10 times. He said it is dead.. He took outside. So I am sure the bat is gone now..
Wow...I am gone for a few days and I miss BAT DRAMA. I am glad that is all over with Nancy!
We had steak burgers and mac and cheese tonight. Plus grilled onions. It was yummy.
Right now I am making homemade cheese danish for their breakfast tomorrow.

Well, I was going to cook last night - fish sticks and tator tots - but the DD and I decided it was better to have lots of chocolate for dinner instead when the DH ended up working late. (Yes, I got my period yesterday if there was any doubt given the dinner choice we made.)
I am going to try to be good and eat a lot more protein today. At least I made it to the store yesterday and stocked up on roast beef and provolone cheese.
I had a double cheese burger and fry and pop form McDonalds last night for supper. Not sure what I will eat for luch. Past time to get something..
maybe some kind of sndwhich. Turkey or ham. and a hand ful of chips..
We had lemon pepper chic ken, chic ken noodles and corn.
I am trying to think of something to make them for breakfast too.

Practice was at our house this afternoon and I forgot to take anything out of the freezer. I made myself 2 cheeseburgers (no buns), the DH had Long John Silvers, and I have not clue what the DD fixed for herself.
I hope to get it together enough to cook something for supper tomorrow night. I will let you know how that goes, if it actually happens.
