As per family tradition, dinner was at midnight. This year I made breaded pork chops, crescent rolls, and mashed potatoes for DH and DD. I broiled my pork chops, and we all had salad. DD also made me some sugar free (low carb) jello brand pudding - cheesecake flavor - YUMMY!!!
After dinner we all ed my DD do the as she was dead on her feet. It was really nice to do something as family.

Happy Halloween to All!!!

well Lady, that sounds like a nice tradition. Sounds like a pretty tasty dinner too.
We had about 280 trick or treaters.. I was happing out of my chair there for a while. I finally put my chair infront of the door. and I had the window out of the door.. It was easier.. We told everyone Amy was a playing an accident victim.. We were going to bandage her head, but we didn't. she had her self proped up so she could see the kids come to the door. We had a funny . This one little boy came up to the door. I said Boy you are really scaring me.. He said No I am not scary, and he pulled up his mask and said, See,I'm just a kids. I ed.

Nancy, you must live in popular neighborhood - 280 - ! We had about 30 - maybe. In the end we were giving them a handful of candy each and still have candy left over in the bowl today. I am trying hard to ignore it - I might have to put a lid on the bowl and hide it somewhere to lessen the temptation.

It has been decided that tonight we are having leftovers because at midnight we were so hungry and tired that we ate without remembering tasting a lot of the meal.

WE only had about 6 houses on the whole block passing out candy. We get ca loads of people.. some come from the bad side of town, they do not want to take their kids in their neighbor hood, so they come to our side of town. I do not blame them though for not wanting to take a chance.. I only have suckers left. We gave out all the candy bars. the suckers still are tempting.. I had one already to day.. a sour apple.. I need to put these away. Brit , take s her candy up stairs, I will give her the rest of these..
I do not know what i am having for lunch, Maybe a bologna sandwhich. Amy is gone to see her lawyer about her accident, So she wil most likely grab lunch while she is out.

Tonight I am making ragout, basicly it a layer each (starting on the bottom) of bacon, steak, onions, baby carrotts, and then sliced potatos add about a dixie cup of water and simmer for about 45min to a hour add water if needed. My grandmother used to make this a lot not sure if anyone else has ever heard of it.

Since I am still doing the Atkins Diet, I had 6 Beef Brats for dinner tonight.
My DD has her teen writer's workshop tonight and was picked up early - she had Chic-ken noodle soup, and my DH was supposed to be home late (but wasn't) and he fixed himself something once got settled as I had already eaten.

I am now down 24 pounds since Sep 13. That still leaves me between 34 and 44 to go. At least the scale is still showing a loss of weight - however slight. Thursday evening is my DH's work's Christmas Party and I plan to cheat on my diet there as it is either that or not eat anything at all. Then I will be extra good until Christmas when I plan to cheat the whole day.

For dessert: I made a apple crumb pie and a loaf of banana pineapple bread. YUM!
