I am planning to roast another chic-ken tonight. I am not sure what I am serving with it. I was supposed to roast it last night, but the day got away from me as I rearranged the living room to better accomodate my future working situation as I become more of an underwriter and less of an examiner for title insurance.

DH is currently working on fixing me bacon and eggs for breakfast this mor-ning. I miss the biscuits and jam, but love being able to fit into my fat clothes comfortably again. I still have only lost 10 lbs, but it has stayed off, and plateaus are a normal part of weight loss. I will be exstatic if I can just drop another 5 lbs this month. Not being afraid to use herbs and spices really s with staying on Atkins, as does liking to eat a lot of meat and other high protien foods.

I am so jealous, Lulu! I love corned beef and cabbage!! But, DD and DH don't like it that much. In fact DD turns up her nose at all cabbage. I do order it when it is available if I am at a restaurant, but nothing beats the homemade stuff.

I have put the chic-ken in the oven. Still don't know what sides I will serve with it, but at least I will get 2 meals out of it (tonight for the family and tomorrow for my lunch.)

Tonight we had popcorn chic ken, baked beans and rice w/cheese. Probably not the healthiest combination but we had football practice.

Brittany had cheerleading tonight. Last football game. so her and Amy were not home.. So Angela came over to my house and we went at Sams Warehouse.. While we were there we got some of their en ranch bacon pizza. Really good. We also had one of their berry sundays, they put black berries, blue berries, and strawberries, and raspberries . Boy is it ever good..

Wink Dinner

That sounds great! I made a beef chuck roast in a crock pot with potatoes, carrots, and onions. It was my first one. I think it could have used more seasoning, but the family ate it and seemed to like it well enough. Next time I will cook it longer on low; it was a bit dry.

Sounds real good schoofness. Most things are best if you can cook them on low for a long time.. Sometimes yu have to hurry it up a bit if it is time to eat soon..
Amy just brought me half a pack of popcorn from the game.. It was real buttery.. Pretty tasty..

After a month of doing Atkins and losing - 12 pounds - I am taking 2 days off. Last night I had a couple of potatoes and some chocolate with dinner - the potatoes tasted as good as the chocolate!!! There was also a waffle with jam and whipped cream on part of it and syrup on part of it for breakfast yesterday mor-ning, too. I was pretty good today, until the DH offered to go and get supper at McD's. I had a small fry and 2 double cheeseburgers, though I only ate the bun on one of them.
I finally figured out why I plateaued on Atkins after the first 2 weeks, it was the IFCoffees with sugar free creamers that I started to have in order to increase my fluid intake. Even using only sugar free/low carb stuff they were still about 20 g of carbs each. And, I usually had 2 of them. A big no-no this early in the program. I guess it is back to water only for me - at least until a lose some more weight.
Well, tomorrow I go back on the Atkins Program again, this time until Thanksgiving. It is a great feeling to be fitting into my clothes again.

Well good for you Lady.. You are doing well losing weight.. Good to take a break and go back to it.. I think that is why diets fail people get tired of not eating there junk for food and food with sugar.. If you take a day or two off, you will be able to lose again.. I really need to set my mind to something.. a is wanting to get the surgery for weight loss.. I promised I would do it too , if she ever got insurance to pay for it.. Well looks like she is getting insurance, so I might have to stick to my promise.. She is only 5 ft. and weighs over 300. I am only 5 ft 4. So I am not tall either.. I weight like 375.. So need to desperately do something...
Amy made something like Stuffed Peppers tonight.. She just browed the meat, and cooked up onion, and peppers, and garlic. then added rice ( coooked) and some tomato.. It was good.. I also had a apple donut from the orchard..

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for the tkind and encouraging words.

Tonight I ate some boneless BBQ wings from the local Wal-Mart. They probably weren't the best choice, but they tasted good. A little sweet and spicy. And I was good the rest of the day. I will try to be good all day tomorrow.
