Tonight we had leftovers. One of those hamburger er dinners. It was stuffing with en and gravy. I made three boxes of the stuff because I had cooked too much en and figured it would be better to cook it all and have leftovers than to cook again the next night.
Ya'll should know that I don't particularly like to cook.
Hey, at least the en was real! I had to cook that.

Could had en burritos though....hmmm...next time

My dd thinks she is cooking dinner tonight - as her final project for home school. I think after a day at the art show she is going to be way too tired to even make the attempt. We'll see what happens. If she cooks it will be Pasta La Vista. A one dish meal combining meat, veggies, pasta and dairy.

My dd (who is 11) did make dinner after all. It was Pasta La Vista. And she required a lot of adult supervision and . I ended up cooking and preparing the majority of the en for the sake of time.
Next year her meal will need to be more than one dish, so she is planning on Spaghetti w/meatballs (pre-cooked), bread and a salad. Nice to see she is thinking ahead

She did win 3rd place in her age division in the art show.

Thank you Bruinsmama! I'll pass it along to her.

I got a new to me bread machine yesterday from some dear . So, I am going to make something saucy with ground beef for dinner tonight (not sure what, yet) so we can have sourdough bread (from a box mix) with it. My house will smell so good this afternoon.

I ended up making baked pasta with tomatoes, cheese and ground beef added. It wasn't too bad my family really seemed to like it. The fresh bread was delicious! I have put bread machine mixes on my lise. Didn't realize how much I missed the home made (semi?) stuff until I had a taste of it again.

I sure do have some wonderful who were nice enough to give me a bread machine.

We are having the other supermaket pizza (with some added cheese of course) that just needs to be reheated. It is the last evening meeting of the local chess club tonight. That is something quick to make and quick to eat.
