Thats definitely easier than my recipe.... my girls wont eat it with instant potatoes so i am stuck using the real deal ....... i usually take my ground beef and make it up like i would a meatloaf with onions and peppers and whatever else i toss in there and put it in the baking dish first then i do a layer of corn (with my girls there has to be corn at every meal LOL ) then i do the layer of potatoes and then i bake it and 10 minutes before done i pile like 3lbs of cheese on top...... yours is definitely easier just wish i could get away with easy LOL

I always did mine in reverse!!

Bottom: Ground beef, cooked & a can of cream of mush soup w/1 can milk stirred in

Middle: green peas, still frozen

Top: mashed potatoes and grated cheddar cheese

Bake till cheese is bubbly

I'll have to give your way a try

I use tomato soup and the french-style green beans..
along with the hamburger and mash and SHARP cheddar cheese..
I don't know if that's called "Shepherd's Pie".. sounded kinda like it though..
