Portuguese Eggs

PORTUGUESE EGGS

1-½ lb. Crumbled cooked sausage
8 slides of bread, cubed (I usually just lay the slices in the bottom of the baking dish)
¾ lb. Grated cheese
4 eggs, whipped with a little salt
2-½ cup milk
¾ teaspoon prepared mustard
1 can cream of Mushroom Soup (thinned with a little milk)

Layer into a 9 x 13 dish:
Bread
Sausage
Cheese
Eggs whipped with milk and mustard

At this point, you can cover the dish, and place it in the refrigerator overnight, to bake the next . When ready to bake:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spread the mushroom soup, mixed with a LITTLE milk, over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or 300 degrees for 1 ½ hours.
