Two Mamas Banana Cake from My Mother's Southern Desserts

I use this one for Christmas baskets I send to family. I wrap pieces individually in pretty colored plastic wrap.

1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsps cinnamon
1 1/2 tsps ground cloves
6 ripe bananas, roughly chopped
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups golden raisins
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped

Preheat oven 325, Grease and flour 10" tube pan

In a large bowl, cream butter, oil and sugar till smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. In a med bowl combine the flour, salt, baking soda, powder and spices. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture. Add the bananas and vanilla and stir well; fold in the raisins and pecans. Pour into pan and bake for 1 1/4 hrs.
