Apple Cream Pie
Oven at 400° then at 325°
Combine:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Blend in and beat until smooth:
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Mix in thoroughly:
- 2 cups finely chopped, peeled apples
Turn into:
- 1 pastry-lined pie plate
Bake at high heat 15 minutes; reduce heat and bake 30 more minutes, then remove from oven and cover with topping made by combining:
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Bake another 20 minutes.
