Thumbs up With Christmas around the corner

Some of my favorite recipes

Butter Cookie Dough

1/2 lb and 2 tbsp butter at room temp
1 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3 egg yolks
1 1/2 tbsp whipping cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 c. flour

Refrigerate dough several hours before rolling out dough


4 in one Cookie Dough

Master recipe:

4 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1/2 c. butter ( 1 stick)
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

1. Sift the flour & baking soda & salt onto a piece of waxed paper.
2. Beat shortening butter and sugars. Beat in eggs, on at a time.
3. Add vanilla sitr in flour & mix well.
4. Divide dough into 4 portions for different additions.
Additions:
Nuts,
Cherries
Coconut
Melted Choclate

Bake at 350 10 mins or so, turning pan half way.


Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

1 pkg semisweet choclate chips
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c. butter or softened margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. all purpose flour
1.4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 c. quick cooking oats

1. Melt choclate chips in top of a double boiler on hot, not boiling water.
Remove set aside

2. Grease 2 sheets.
3. Cream butter and sugar at medium speed until fluffy.
4. Beat in egg and vanilla and melted chocolate.
5. Add flour baking soda and salt mix until just combined. Stir in walnuts

Roll dough into 1/2 '' balls. Flatten to a 3 inch circle.
Bake 360 about 10-12 mins 24 s
