Hawaiian luau

I've been invited to a Hawaiian luau. I was told to bring a dish to pass...any s as to what would be fitting this theme? I am clueless.

thanks for the advice.
(I prefer something simple!)

It was fun, but the food was sort of blah. They had shrimp but they were really spicy, another kind of shrimp deep friend in coconut. Crab meat noodle salad, and a few other strange things. They did have lots of fruit.

We ate ahead of time because we were sure we wouldn't like the food choices
The fellowship was great!

They are planning another one -not sure why they need a theme. Just say "bring a dish to pass" would be enough in my opinion.

Sorry I missed your post first time around. I would have given you a recipe for Hawaiian Ham. Sorry the food wasn't too good but glad you had a good time anyway. Smart thinking about eating ahead of time, I don't think I'd of thought of that! Welcome , glad to have you with us!!

I'm a bit on the fussy side. It seems people eat some odd things at times.
Like I don't eat deer meat --you wouldn't believe how many people will sneak that in at a potluck.

I think the next gathering being planned is going to be Italian food. (too bad I don't eat tomatos --they kill me!)

So onward to needing an Italian dessert.
I guess I don't have a clue what nationality food is as we eat such a variety of things at my house.

Oh sandra, you crack me up, I am extremely fussy about what I eat!! Around here deer meat is a special treat but not to me. Don't like it, never did , never will. Actually I can eat it if it's canned cuz I put beef boulion in the jars when I can it and that takes the "wild" taste away and I like it as jerky. My family can't get enough of the jerky!!

As for an Italian dessert, I can't think of any off the top of my head. Sorry. I guess I don't really know much about nationality foods either. I just know if we like it we eat it, if we dont' we don't, . Sorry I'm no but I'm enjoying talking with you anyway. have a good day!!

Say Sandraspeaks: This Is A Easy One!

A Italian Desert easy to purchase! Bring Spumoni! It's a delicious Italian answer to our Ice Cream! That's exactly what it is, Italian styled Icecream! In fact it's like our Harlequin! It has Pistachio/Cherry/Chocolate! Can't be that! Purchase same day, enroute or shortly beforehand. Please let me know, if this meets with your approval.
