Lightnin will become famous soon enough
Cobbler & banana creme pie

Lazy Mom's Cobbler:
In a cast iron pan (or any that can go from stove-top to oven)
melt a chunk of butter (@2tbsp) on low heat. Throw in 2 handfuls of oats, a small handful of raisins, a small handful of nuts (walnuts or pecans) and 1/2 cup (or so) brown sugar. Stir occasionally, and keep on low heat for about 5 minutes until everything is nicely coated with the butter and sugar. Turn off heat. If feeling ambitious, top with sliced apples. Place in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Turn off the oven, but don't remove the cobbler. (We usually have dinner about now.) After dinner, dish warm cobbler into bowls, and top with vanilla ice cream.

Banana creme pie
Arrange 'Nilla wafers in the bottom of a baking dish (and up the sides) Arrange bananas in a single layer over these. Make vanilla pudding to package directions. Pour over wafers'n'bananas. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.

Strawberry Dream Angelfood Cake

Buy an food cake in the bake shop. Also buy 1 pint of fresh strawberries, some strawberry jam and Cool whip.

Cut the cake in half across (lengthwise) and spread some jam & sliced strawberries in the middle. Re-assemble cake and frost with Cool whip. Add some strawberries on top as a garnish.

This is easy but looks & tastes hard!

Bruinsmama

yum wish I had some now, eh???
