Thumbs up Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Ingredients:
1 8-oz. package of cream cheese
1/2 cup (1 sitck) butter, softened (MUST BE BUTTER, margarine won't work)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
Graham crackers

Directions:
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vamilla until fluffy. Gradually add sugar, beat until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Place onto plastic wrap; shape into a ball. Refrigerate at least 1 more hour. Just before serving, roll cheese ball in pecans. Serve with graham crackers.

I'm serving this tonight at my Ladies' Bible Study group. It is wonderful and our group is full of choco-holics! It should be a big hit!

You are ! It WAS a hit. In fact, before the Bible Study actually started, I had to print out eight copies of the recipe! But, I told them that none of them could bring it to a church function - it was MINE! LOL

Enjoy!

This sounds wonderful!!!

I think I will make it tomorrow for my family's belated Thanksgiving get together!

Can you use other crackers or just graham crackers?

I was just looking over the recipe again, Could you use any nut you wanted or does it taste better with the pecans?

I am so glad you are all enjoying the Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball. It is so good, I can't wait until the next time I have to have it for a party.

As far as nuts, I would think that whatever your favorite nut is would work. In Georgia, pecans are plentiful and cheap (it seems as plentiful as the proverbial peanut).

Crackers - I don't know about using other crackers. Since the cheese ball is sweet, I would think that a salty cracker might not work. But WHAT THE HECK! Try it and let me know what you find out.

Hope everybody's Turkey Day as a good one.

I am so grateful for this wonderful recipe. It has become a tradition now in our family! If I ever dare show up without it, they have a fit!!! It is such a wonderful treat. My DH even bought me a special platter just for this one dessert! You are awesome. Thank you again!! I have made it over a dozen times now!!
