Patriotic Dump Cake

I took this to a dinner at church yesterday and got lots of compliments, someone even asked for the recipe (a first for me!!) I was on ! Since they enjoyed it, I thought I'd share it with you, my !

Patriotic Dump Cake
1 can cherry pie filling
1 c. fresh blueberries
1 box white cake mix
1 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 c. nuts (opt.--I don't usually add them)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a greased 9x12 pan, layer ingredients in order listed. Bake for 45 minutes.

Hope you all enjoy!

Okay Christi-maybe I am Dense(sa) but do you mix the cake mix up as directed on the box or do you just dump it in dry and the juices from the fillings are the liquid? I feel so having to ask but I have never even hard of a "DUMP CAKE". (Doesn't sound appealing in that context does it? rotflmao ) Must be a "southern thing" ...............LOL

It sounds really good though-I know my kiddos would all love it......and congrats on getting asked for a recipe! Hey-there's a first time for everything dear!

Maybe it is a Southern thing, Miss B! You just dump the powdered cake mix in straight from the box!

Red face

Thanks Christi! Geesh~I went through the Mom's Network Cookbook today looking for an for Pork and saw a dump cake recipe-remembered I had posted this question and felt like a densa all over again!rotflmao

BTW-I made the Manderin Chicken recipe from the cookbook but I had no CUMIN so I just put in more cinnamon-I also substituted pork and made it in the crock pot instead of a fry pan-ohmygoodness-it was GOOD! I also just cooked some pasta and put KRAFT Cl***ic Itallian Vinegarette Dressing on it-YUMMY! (linds eats no dairy anymore but I do so I cubed some cheese to add to mine and put some parm on top-double yum) Quick and easy dinner gals!
