225 gm self raising flour
1 t. baking powder

butter
25 gm sugar

milk2 t. lavender flowers
Sieve flour and baking powder. Rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse bread crumbs and stir in the sugar and lavender. Add enough milk to make a soft, light dough and with a minimum of handling roll out to around 3 cm thick circle and cut into 5cm rounds. Place on a

baking sheet and brush with a little milk. Bake at 450 degrees C/Mark 8 for 10-12 minutes until golden. Serve with jam and whipped cream.
