Makes 8-10 muffins.
1/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups cake flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
Coating:
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup melted butter
Cream first 3 ingredients. Combine dry ingredients & add to
creamed mixture alternately with milk; mix well. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full.
Bake at 325 F for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Let

3-4 minutes.
Meanwhile combine sugar & cinnamon. Roll muffins in melted butter & then in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
