Hey there Polly my friend. Its soooo good to see you back with us again. It was nice hearing from you today too. Its been a while.
I just finished reading the book HRH by Danielle Steele and it was excellent. Kept me interested right from the beginning. I loved it. Now I am waiting on my next Danielle book to arrive. I belong to the book club and ordered it some time ago. It should be here any time.
Since I am doing some updating.... thought I'd reply
I have actually been able to make time for reading at nite (and sometimes in the tub) in the last several months.
Just got done reading Shopgirl by Steve Martin.. have had it here forever but never got around to reading it. Before that - why I'm like this: True Stories by Cynthia Kaplan and prior to that The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards - awesome book that I couldn't put down.
And just started yesterday - The Glass Castle by Jennifer Wells

Hi Polly,
Oh my gosh, but it is good to see you!
I'm glad you started this post. I never went on this post a couple years ago because I was never reading anything but school books but boy, have I been reading lately!! I got re-interested in reading because of having to read some books for school assignments. So over the last 3 months I've got a long list I've read.
True stories: "No Mercy" by John Walsh, "Of Murder and Madness" by Gerry Spence, "Perfect Murder Perfect Town" (about JonBenet) by Lawrence Schiller, and "Wiseguy: Life in a Mafia Family" by Nicholas Pileggi. All were awesome to read!!
The other books I've read over the last couple weeks are "Out of body" by Thomas Baum, "Incubus" by Ann Arensberg (Given the name, I wasn't sure if I'd want to read it, but it was actually good and about God also), and "The Magician's Tale" by David Hunt.
I'd also probably be interested in a book exchange, that is if anyone is interested in murder, mystery, and weird.
Oh forgot to put, the book I'm reading now is "Daughters of the Sunstone" by Sydney J Van Scyoc

Hello again everyone, I am so glad you all posted!! All of your books sound great! I'm glad you all have been able to find time to read again! And Cyndi, the tub is one of my favorite places to read since I can usually be left alone for 15 minutes! . Right now I am reading Have You Seen Her? by Karen Rose, a new author for me, it is a Romance Suspence book. I am enjoying it very much. I like all different kinds of books, I must confess, historicals do not do a thing for me, .
Becky I am definitely interested in those types of books, as I said I like a wide variety. I will have to start listing some on here and then we can go from there. I have been reading alot of my sisters. She is in several book clubs. I keep thinking I will join but everytime I look at the books and call her she already has them ordered!! Oh well, saves me money. Well I better go, It's time to go home, to all!!

I'm new to this site, but I love to read! I just finished Lisey's Story by Stephen King and it was awesome! It was a little slow at first, but as usual he kept me turning the pages. I just started The Face by Dean Koontz and I'm excited, because I love the Odd Thomas series, so I'm a big fan. I still need the 3rd book of that series, so I'll have to ask DH for that for my b-day present!
Well I got my next two books from the Danielle Steel series. I am now reading the story of her son Nick Traina. Boy what that lady put up with when he was growing up. I would have went out of my mind. He died at the age of 19 but I haven't got that far yet to find out why. It is a very good book though.
Well, I finished "Daughters of the Sunstone" the other day. It was so good. When it started it made you think you were back when America was first found and the Native Americans were the only ones here, but it was actually set in the future. It was very good!
Now, I don't know what to read.. I've read everything in the house. I did get a brochure for 6 books for 99 cents.. so am considering doing that.

Well, I finished the book I was reading the book by Karen Rose and then I read the latest one in the In Death series by JD Robb, then I read another by Karen Rose, she is defiitely on my favorite Authors list now. She keeps you turning the pages , you just can't wait to see what happens next. This moring I started Scent of Roses by Kat Martin, new author for me. Not in it very far yet since i had to come to work so I am not sure whether or not I have an opinion yet, , Today we had a major snow storm hit. We have 6 or 7 inches of snow, just since I came to work, they have not touched the road I work on and the DOH is only about a 1/2 mile down the road and this is a major busy road. It is full of slush now. I was thinking of leaving early since it wasn't looking like it was gonna get any better but it has quit snowing for the moment although I hear it is still snowing where I live so still don't know what I'm gonna do. Real decisive, huh? I am hoping they will treat the roads before I leave and the heavy traffic starts, ugh! Anyway, just wanted to touch base and say hello to everyone. Talk to you soon and happy reading!
Ps. Welcome Kristin! It's good to have you at MZ and here in our reading forum!!

I am reading...One More Day, by Mitch Albom. I really enjoyed his other books, Tuesday with Morrie and The 5 People You Meet in Heaven. This one is sort of different, but he really makes you think.
Don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read it.
I also enjoy murder, mystery and wierd.... :-)
Anne Rice and James Patterson, a few more I can't remember.
Some romance is good too, Nicholas Sparks...you know The Notebook. The Wedding was a really good read.
cuzmomcares, it sounds like you like a good variety of books like I do. Right now I am reading Two Little Girls In Blue by Mary Higgins Clark. It is very good. I like her writing style. I'm not sure what I will read next. I have alot of books at home I haven't read and my sister keeps giving me more soooooooooo, I guess I will have to see what s out and grabs me at the moment, . Talk to you all soon, I hope.
Hugs, Polly

I have been getting to do a lot of reading because my computer died! It was 2 weeks before the new one arrived. Now, I have been playing catch up on the emails.
Anyway, my DD has gotten me hooked on Manga novels by a writing group that uses the name CLAMP. I am currently reading the 2nd volume of XXXHolic. It is NOT X-rated at all, so I can't figure out why it has that name. They are graphic (comic style) novels and are pretty good. The problem is that they are read backwards and that is very hard to get used to while reading regular books at the same time.
I am also still reading the Stephen Brust series but am now into the 4th of the 5 novels in this series - The Lord of Castle Black.
