Attention all readers!!!!!

What book(s) are you reading now? Do you like them/it?

I'm reading a book by Julia Quinn...can't remember the title though *snort* I think it's Brighter Than The Sun. LOL! Anyway...so far, so good. I'm only 2 chapters into it.

I just read Hot Blooded by Lisa Jackson and getting ready to read Cold Blooded by her, when I have time. Busy week ahead of me. Even bringing work home. But yes, they are goooood. If you like Romantic/suspense you will like these books. It kept me interested to the point I didn't want to put it down. Soooo theres my review. Still haven't read lovely bones that someone else was talking about on another thread but hopefully I'll get it soon and read it.

Question: are there any good paperback book clubs to get into?

Right now I am halfway through Danielle Steel's book Safe Harbor. It is a great book. I like all her books though.

I am reading (still!!) Dean Koontz's One Door Away From Heaven. It's a good book, I just don't have a lot of time for reading or somebody walks off with it and I have to tear my house up looking for the book!! Koontz is definitely my favorite author. I read anything that has his name on it.

I like the title of that book, I'll have to add it to my want to read list. I like Dean Koontz too. I'm like you misty, not alot of time for reading lately. I still haven't started Cold Blooded. I've picked it up several times but haven't started it yet. Oh well, I will eventually.

Anyone know what happened to starting a book swap? I know the post is her somewhere but I haven't found it. Someone started it before Christmas but I think everyone was too busy to do it then. I'd like to swap books. Shipping has got to be cheaper than buying them at the store, right? Oh well, any with this will be very much appreciated.

I ordered Lovely Bones!! Can't wait to get it and read it!! I joined a new book club and only have to buy one more in a year so that isn't too bad!!! I can't wait to get my books. Actually I got some in the mail the other day that I ordered from myster guild. I got shipping for only $1.99 for however many books I ordered so I bought a bunch that were marked down to $4.00. I haven't even opened the box yet!!!But I finally started the book Cold Blooded. It is as good as Hot Blooded. I really like the writing style of this author. You stay interested trough the whole book. I am halfway through it and lately for me that is good. I used to read a book in two days tops but too busy to do that now. That's ok though because they last longer.

Right now all I'm reading are my textbooks.
At 39, it's hard going back but well worth it!!

I like mystery mostly and like Dean Koontz too. I also like Robin Cook. Those books can sometimes make you think about what's around you.

So true Becky, and good luck with college!! I don't think I could do it. My sister is going to college and working full time. How she does it is beyond me. Of course it s that she doesn't have any children but it's still a big load and I admire her and you and anyone who does it. I think I would like to take some classes but not a full college load. Anyway Good luck and don't forget to get some quiet time. Or reading time.

I just got done with The Switch by Sandra Brown. It was pretty good. I stayed up late at night reading it. She ended each chapter with something exciting so it made me want to read "Just one more chapter!" LOL!

Right now I am reading Simple Abundance. It was on the New York Bestseller's list for months and months when it was first published.

I would recommend it highly to anyone who is looking for more balance in their lives and looking to learn how to put themselves first. I am sure that there are dozens of used copies floating around-- I got mine from my mom. It is the kind of book that someone would make a New Year's resolution to follow, and then forget about.

The best thing is that it makes you think! There are thoughts for everyday of the year, but I am just plowing through it whenever I get a moment.

Thanks Carol, I'll add it to my list of books to read!!! I love a book that has you thinking about it even when you can't sit down and read. That's the way those books, Hot Blooded and Cold Blooded were. They were well written. I'm still reading lovely bones but should be done today and then will start a new one.
