There are a couple of new series that are based on the Left Behind books. They are not written by Jenkins & LaHaye, but seem ok.
One is a "Military Series" written by Mel Odom. The first book (only one out right now) is call Apocalypse Dawn. The main character is First Sergeant Samuel Adams "Goose" Gander of the 75th Army Rangers.
I enjoyed it and hope Mr. Odom comes out with a second soon.
Also, in Jan. 2004 (I think that's the right date) another series based on Left Behind will be a "Political Series." This is like President Fitzhugh and all of them. I don't remember the author's name right now, but I look forward to reading it. Already got to read an except from it.
I do know that Mel Odom is not the author of the political series.
That is great to know. I'm still trying to read (time) the Left Behind series. hey are so , , informative, and written so well. Have you compared the books to Bible yet? It's really close.
Yes, these books definately following the scriptures for the end times. It amazes me how people can look at what is happening in the world today, see books like Left Behind, and still not accept Christ!
As it's been said before, these books are a great teaching tool, and it's really great how you can learn from them. My hubby, daughter and I have really enjoyed the stories, but we have learned a great deal about scripture from them too.
