What to Feed my 10 Month Old...

Hey guys!

My 10 month old won't eat baby food anymore, which is great because now he can eat what we're eating...

My dillema is this though:

What do I feed him on nights that we are having something a little to spicy for his little belly? (Chicken Curry, Enchiladas...etc.) Anyone have any recipes/suggestions for making him something that is not time consuming? I'd hate to have to cook 2 dinners...

Thanks guys!
E.

Elena - We keep a box of en nuggets in the freezer. You can buy the kind that you can mircowave. Mary loves them. They are quick and easy for those nights when they aren't eating what you are eating. I fix those and some veggies and she is set.

I will make her sandwhiches. She loves them. I make PB&J (my ped says PB is safe) or cheese sandwhiches for her. She loves them.

Also - mac and cheese. Easy and kids love it.

Elena en nuggets are always a good choice...I swear my son Joey was gonna start laying eggs he ate so many of them when he was a toddler. rotflmao Hotdogs (turkey dogs are healthier if that's a concern) are good for little ones and you can always make soup or open a can if you're so inclined. I always had things like spaghettio's on hand for those times when the boys didn't like what I prepared or it was too spicy or exotic for their taste buds. Heck you can scramble some eggs and make instant mashed potatoes in moments too.

I for the most part let ryan eat most everything I did. Including spicy. He still loves spicy food at 20. If it was toooo spicy I would let him have his special meal...which his dad came up with. Vienna sausages because they are soft...(Hotdogs for babies is not a good . But if you do give them hotdogs make sure they are cut in very tiny pieces. One piece of a sliced hotdog can still cause choking. ) crackers with shredded cheese and some banana.

You could bake a potato in the microwave and mash it up with some cheese.

Great s, IM13 and Compltlyme.

My ped even said hot dogs are okay. She said to cut them long way, in stead of in chucks and that they are safer that way. I haven't tried this, but it's an .

We also do soup and spaghetti O's. Mary's not as big a fan as the others.

I had forgotten that she does love scrambled eggs. She also really like hamburgers ands meatloaf.

Another is when you are making your curry or wahtever. Set some of the chiken, beef, etc aside and cook just for him. For example, when we make a en dish that Mary won't eat, we just set aside a couple of cubes of the en and cook them plain for her.

Awesome! What great s guys!

I always do mashed potatoes the hard way (dh won't eat em any other way!), but I never thought of getting the instant just for the the little guy... I think I'll do that - he loves em!

The loves vienna sausages, and will only eat scrambled eggs with ketchup - just like his Mama! LOL

I was really drawing a blank on what else to feed him - his tummy thanks you!

Hugs,
Elena
