20 button mushrooms
1 tbs. balsamic vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
10 strips bacon, halved crosswise
5 cloves garlic, each clove cut lengthwise into 4 slices
10 slices white bread
1/3 cup bottled Russian dressing
20 wooden picks

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Toss mushrooms with vinegar in bowl, let stand 2
min. With slotted spoon, remove to baking pan. Season with salt and pepper.
Lay strips of bacon on work surface. Place slice of garlic in center of each
strip, place mushroom on top. Wrap bacon around mushroom, secure with wooden
pick. Place on clean baking pan. Bake in oven 10 min. Turn over, bake until
bacon is crispy. Toast bread on baking sheet in oven, 3-4 min. per side. Cut
off crusts, slice each piece diagonally to create total of 20 toast points.
To serve, spoon about 1 tsp. Russian dressing over each toast point. Remove
wooden pick from each mushroom, place one mushroom on each piece of toast.
Makes 20 pieces.
