I have to have name brand, hotdogs (oscar mayer) and bologna (eckrich) and pads and douche
what do you have to have name brand where generic juts wont cut it? and believe me i have to cut corners but there are just some luxires in life you just need
My dh has to have Hunts Ketchup and I demand Hellman's (or Best Foods depending on what coast you are on) mayo. Everything else I will try the generic. Some things I will continue to buy generic after trying them if I like them as well, but others I go back to name brand.
this might sound strange, but maybe not, Crayons, Markers

The only thing I won't buy generic is yogart. I have tried them all and Yoplait is still the best.
The rest I just manage to add seasonings or something to make it tastier.
I will not buy generic in peanut butter it has to be JIF,kids will only eat Oscar Meyer hot dogs(and believe me they know).
Also I have to have Hellmanns mayo all the others are y:(
And of course Kotex pads
Diapers! Tried several in the beginning - will never go back. Pampers Cruiser's all the way. Well, we are potty training now.
We're stuck on Juicy Juice. The ONLY juice in the house.
Paper Towel. Same thing as the diapers - we always buy Bounty.
I think everything else in the house is mostly generic. Some generic cleaning products smell nasty though, so we are a little careful with that one now.
I have to buy name brand cheese, diet coke, all of our products, tampons, deodorant, and pampers. Everything else is negotiable!!

We have a Aldi's store here.......where it all generic food....and cheap........but the only thing I buy from them is there soups.....bread products....pasta noodles....Milk......veggies and fruits fresh and canned.....oh and they do have a really good pizza which surprised me cuz I am picky about my pizza's LOL! I am sure there is more just cant think of it...........EVERYTHING ELSE I WILL NOT BUY GENERIC........EXPECIALLY MAC AND CHEESE IT HAS TO BE KRAFT! LOL
My husband and I both grew up on food stamps and ate a lot of generic food back when everything generic was in those yellow and black or white and black packages. When we first got married we didn't buy anything generic neither one of us could stand to have anything but name brands on our shelf.
Then we had kids Now there are just a few things we don't buy generic: toilet paper, soap, ketchup, miracle whip and canned soup.
