Hello!

My garden is finally planted!

I finished digging up the old garden plot that hadn't been used in several years per the next door neighbor, and got the plants in the ground and watered today!

I hope I have better luck with these than I did with the seeds we started about 2 months ago. They came up and promptly died or just stopped growing. Even the mint seeds didn't grow and mint is supposed to be one of the easiest things to grow. Next year I am not bothering with seeds at all.

I planted 3 tomato plants and 8 bell papper plants.

Ladyre,

I have a front flowerbed of mint that goes nuts. Curious as to what you planted next to the mint perhaps that is why it didn't take hold !?! Congratulations on the peppers though. I've got to get my habenero & Zuquinni ( bad spelling )squash planted think I oughta do that right quick < smile .>

The mint was started from seeds in an old, cardboard egg carton. It started to come up and then just disappeared. We are going to dump all of the individual chunks from the egg carton into a large pot and see if they have to be bunched together to grow. We haven't completely given up on the mint. I want to grow it in the front beds, too - to replace the weeds that are there now. Last year the landlord came and emptied the front beds when she did her home inspection. I really want to prevent a repeat of that. I will be spending most of July cleaning my house from top to bottom, too.
