Question 3 yr. old little boy & potty training

I need advice on what to do with my son.
For a while he was doing great at going pee, and he did number 2 accidently in the potty once, but for some reason he just up and stopped wanting to go.
We would ask him he wanted to go and he keeps telling us no.
My husband is working with him alot, and I try to work with him when my husband is not around as well.
I am not sure on how to encourage him to go use the potty instead of in his pull-ups.
Some people have suggested putting him in normal underwear with a plastic protector over it.
Any s?
My son might also have ADD we have not tested him just yet.

Re: Potty Training

With our oldest son, we were having a terrible time getting him to use the potty at all. We had been working with him since he was two, with no success. He normally went to work with me every day, but one day when DH had the day off, DS stayed home with home. DH hated changing diapers so he told DS that "Mom forgot to get diapers [a lie], so you'll have to use the potty today." That's all it took. He's now 9 and never went back to diapers

wait it out

I know it's gonna be hard, but just wait it out. I'm the mom of three boys, and none of them were potty trained until at least three and a half, heck I think even that might be off, it was closer to 3 3/4!! Boys are allot different, my niece was trained before 2 1/2! With my last son (he's 4 & 2mos) I got so frustrated, I too tried the rubber pants at the urging of my nurse practitioner, but even that didn't stop my Matthew, they're ready when THEY"RE ready!!! Good luck!.............as far as the add stuff, I personally think it's way too early to even test him for that, all they'll do is medicate him, I'm sure that's not what you want, just be more forceful with the discipline.....Boys come in all shapes and sizes, but most are very active, and moving all the time....believe me I know!!!!
