I'm Sad

I am sad that I am almost out of my 20's now. I just turned 29. Where did they go? I still look young, I think.
Anyone else get sad around there birthday. I just wasn't excited anymore.

I think most people reflect around there birthday but I was 29 a long time ago. Ill be 39 in april and I have 4 kids. 3 of them will be 10 in aug and the other one will be 2 in June and I just cant believe it . Time flys by really fast. and age is just a number as long as you have your health you should be happy and if you have family and you are blessed. Dont let birthdays get you down think of it this way your still here to spend time with the ones you love.

Its important to celebrate it look forward to it your alive and thats what is important celebrate buy something special foryourself have a girls day out or something like that Hope you had a hday

lisamommy my daughter is 29 she is my oldest then my youngest daughter is 8. I am 50. I learned a long time ago that you will age no matter what, knowing how to do it is the trick. You have to not care about anything when it comes to age. If you feel 16 go for it. There are some rules that I have always live by. I can act young as long as it does not hurt anyone. Just make sure you don't embarrass your kids. After that, anything goes including care to the wind. Be forever young because, that is a gift from God. My grandmother always told me that, she said that God made our spirit young and we make our spirits old because, of what society has instilled in our mind on how to act at a certain age. fooey! So live well and hope you had a nice birthday.

Kinda. I turned 28 in October. My husband will be 30 in February, and he is !! I'm not afraid of turning 30 in two years, just the fact that I know that I look older than i really am is what is making me sad.

Sending lot's of to you Lisa.

Tiffysmom had some wise words. Think I'll use some of them for myself.

I've not felt sad about getting older, cuz well I was young.

I'll be 40 in less than a month. I'm excited.

I hope you find peace within yourself over this and have a good time and celebrate your day.

I can't say I know the feeling because I never got sad on any of my birthdays. I'll be 43 this year. It just never really bothered me. Now what does make me sad is my kids getting older and moving over 1000 miles away. But other than the older ones (22, 21, and 18), I also have a little one and she keeps me happy and ing during the sad.
