I have shared my worries about my son Hayden before, but now I have good news! At 19 months, he finally walked on his own! Of course, a couple of days before I was going to make arrangements for him to see a specialist. He is still getting the hang of it, but I think he really enjoyed having an audience of relatives over the holidays. I told him that my Christmas present was going to be him walking over and over again. He delivered, a couple of days late, but I am just so happy that he is walking!
Now we just have to get him talking more. I am taking him to see a specialist in a couple of weeks. But now I feel a bit more vindicated because everyone that I have talked to in the past about Hayden not walking and talking has given me grief about him not attending daycare.

This is what the Lord asks of you; only this, to act justly, to love tenderly and walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
He said to me, "My grace is enough for you, for in weakness power reaches perfection" 2 Cor 12:9
Yay! My son took awhile to walk also. I think I may have shared this before, but my first daughter walked at 9 months, my second daughter at 16 months, and my son at 19 months.
They all just have their own timing. I'm glad you are feeling more rest assured.
Great Christmas present!

Congrats!!!Way to go Hayden!!! I'm so happy for you. I know what it's like to worry about a little one developing on time. They do all take their own time doing things. I dont' think there is always a set time. He'll probably talking up a storm soon too.

Steven didn't start walking until he was close to 14 months. I was happy. Dad was worried. My first two were walking by 10 months. I enjoyed the "down" time.
